1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or accessing the AccentCoach mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must cease using the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
AccentCoach is an educational pronunciation coaching application providing interactive acoustic analysis, phonemic feedback, speech shadowing, and conversational contraction training.
The Service is provided for educational and self-improvement purposes. While our algorithms provide high-fidelity feedback, we make no guarantees regarding formal examination scores (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL) or professional certifications.
3. User Conduct & Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Custom Lab and practice modules solely for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Upload or submit text containing hate speech, harassment, defamation, or illegal content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the neural speech synthesis or acoustic models.
- Interfere with or disrupt the security or integrity of our network infrastructure.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Core features of AccentCoach are free forever. If you choose to upgrade to our optional Pro tier when available:
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Refund requests are processed according to the standard refund policies of Apple and Google.
5. Intellectual Property
The AccentCoach name, logo, graphic designs, proprietary acoustic algorithms, spectrogram visualizations, and software are the exclusive property of AccentCoach. All rights reserved.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AccentCoach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
